ake Joseph is one
of the unspoiled near-wilderness lakes left in New York State and is considered
one of the finest fishing lakes in the Northeast." The Department of Environmental Conservation
ake Joseph is a private lake shared by the Inn guests and homeowners of the Lake Joseph Homeowners Association. The lake boasts of an abundance of Large Mouth Bass, Pickerel, and unusually large Crappie. You won't find this lake in any sport or fly fishing guide, and it doesn't appear on many public maps. More often than not, you will be the only one fishing it. Just you and the stillness of an early morning gentle mist rising off the surface of Lake Joseph without a sound or man-made structure in sight.
he DEC tells us that
as long as we follow sound conservation policies, the lake will remain healthy
and prosperous. This effort includes a strictly enforced 'catch and release'
policy.
PLEASE NOTE:
To protect Lake Joseph from contamination brought in from other bodies
of water, the LJHA does not allow outside boats or motors.
However, you may use one of the Inn's approved electric motors if
you bring your own battery and charger.
