A White Water Joy Ride

Just Two Hours From New York City, Ride The Delaware And Experience The Splendor
Of The New York Catskills And The Pennsylvania Poconos

It's picnicking, swimming, sunbathing and relaxing with the sights and sounds of nature. It's for those who want to challenge the Delaware one on one. Easy to use, an open-cockpit touring kayak makes for great paddling, whether on calm or whitewater.

You'll start your day with a hearty, county-style breakfast at the Inn At Lake Joseph. After a short ride to Base Camp you'll receive some pre-trip instructions and river orientation, and make your choice of a calm water experience or white water fun for experts and thrill seekers, or a little of both.

After a drive up river with your kayak and gear, you're on your way. The river provides plenty of crystal clear water where you can run the rapids beneath the river's spectacular cliffs and enjoy the beautiful scenery of a near wilderness environment. You might want to stop and picnic on one of the secluded shorelines or islands.

As the day draws to an end, the sun sinks low in the western sky. You can just make out Base Camp coming into view as you slowly leave the river behind.

Back at the Inn, you slowly lower yourself into your inviting, private whirlpool bath overlooking the surrounding forest and reflect on the day's adventure.
